How ACOUP collects, uses and protects personal data from this website, from enquiries and from job applications.
In short: we collect the details you send us through this website — your contact information, your enquiry, and your CV if you apply for a job — and use them to respond to you, to provide our services, and to meet UAE legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by ACOUP Employment Services ("ACOUP", "we", "us"), Mezzanine Floor, Office #1, Sheikh Zayed Road, near Onpassive Metro Station, Al Quoz Industrial Area 1, Al Quoz, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 2. What personal data we collect
- Enquiry data. Name, company, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in and anything you write in the message field.
- Job application data. Name, contact details, your CV and its contents (work history, qualifications, and whatever else you choose to include), and the role you applied for.
- Employment data. For people we employ or place, the information required to run employment in the UAE: identity and visa documents, salary and bank details, attendance and leave records.
- Technical data. Standard web server information such as IP address, browser type and the pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal.
- To assess job applications and, if you are hired or placed, to administer your employment.
- To deliver contracted services — payroll processing, visa and labour transactions, HR administration.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations in the UAE, including labour, immigration, tax and Wage Protection System requirements.
- To maintain the security and performance of this website.
Our lawful bases are the ones set out in UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data: your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate business interests.
4. Who we share it with
- Client companies, where you have applied for or been placed into a role with them.
- Government authorities, where required — for example MOHRE, GDRFA, the Federal Tax Authority, and banks processing WPS salary transfers.
- Service providers that host or support our systems, under confidentiality obligations and only for the purpose of providing that service.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
5. International transfers
ACOUP operates in the UAE and works with clients and suppliers in other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with UAE data protection law.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Applications from candidates we do not place are kept so we can contact you about future roles, and can be deleted on request. Employment and payroll records are kept for the periods UAE labour, immigration and tax law require.
7. Your rights
Subject to UAE law, you may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable form, or withdraw consent you previously gave. Write to us using the details in section 1 and we will respond within the period required by law. You also have the right to complain to the UAE Data Office.
8. Cookies
This website uses only the cookies and local storage needed for the pages to function. It does not run advertising trackers. If analytics or marketing cookies are added later, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested where required.
9. Security
We apply administrative and technical measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold, including access controls, encrypted transmission and restricted handling of employment and payroll records. No system is completely secure, but we take these obligations seriously and review them.
10. Children
This website and our services are directed at businesses and adult job seekers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
